Zoom

Throughout the world many of us have been without what makes us do this sport, formal shoulder to shoulder competition, goodness I cannot even shoot at my own club at the moment due to the nation being locked down. There are comps available - postal or electronic postal such as the Scatt, but it is just not the same as having to compete at a set time with other competitors and with all the time constraints and observation of your shooting. Well the times are changing and zoom competitions have started to become available, they are in their infancy but no doubt will develop. One is based in India but the entry is international, here in the UK The British Pistol Club is running a Zoom competition (live fire and Scatt) for it's members and have even worked around that some members do not have the 10m space to set up a range at home so they are also running a competition at the old national air target distance of 6yds - 6yds is still quite popular here as you can usually find room in the house to do it.
So who knows some resemblance of normality can start to grow even if it involves running two computers one for the zoom and one for the scatt and attempting to stop my big white Akita from laying on my feet while I'm shooting, as I don't think the ISSF rule book covers feet warmers and their use.
