Walther KK500 Action Query
Could someone please let me know what the holes located at the top of the action are for?
Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
The holes that you indicate are in the full length riser, not the action itself. They are threaded for the spacers that are used with the Centra Block Club risers https://shop.mec-shot.com/sights/sight- ... -club.html
Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
Hmm, this question made me think. I've seen photos of a couple of KK500s, notably Franziska Peer and Sergey Kamenskiy, which have vertical grooves on the front right sight of the receiver, where the barrel tenon is held. I can't think what these are for. The barrel is glued into the receiver AFAIK, and splits in this plane wouldn't provide any clamping force like the Anschutz 2013 or early KK200s. Any thoughts?

Does this pic help explain the OP's question?
Tim S,
If you still can't open this file, its nothing but a pic of a stock KK500 with the sights mounted so the OP can see what the holes are for.

Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
That photo has an additional raiser block on-top which still doesn't demonstrate what the holes are for.
Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
What he means is that the holes in the full length riser turn it into the bottom half of a Centra Block Club. See here:https://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/C ... s-255.html
Screw the little spacers into the holes then screw the top dovetail from a Block club in top. You could have finer adjustment than just sliding another riser onto the full length one.
Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
Gotcha, I thought it might have been in response to my subsequent question.
Re: Walther KK500 Action Query
thank you for all your responses
