Anyone see or used this chronometer?

Didn’t know slingshots need chronometer. But should be perfect for air pistol with that open gateway.

Amazon sold a similar one, but it's unavailable at the moment. The reviews were fairly good:

I have one of these, I bought it from an auction site.

I use it to measure the pellets velocity, from my air pistol (Morini 162EI), to compare different pellet brands.

It is configurable, introducing the mass of the pellet, it gives you speed (only in meters per sec, integer values) and energy in joules.
It has some memories so you can store the values of a shooting series, and than read it after.
The battery is recharge type and hold the 30 minutes or so I took to each test.

Having said this, the instructions are only in Chinese. I got some in Portuguese from a fellow Brazilian shooter. I can share if you wish.
I only use the device in the simplest way, I turn it on, shoot and record the values of speed on paper :-)

The reviews I saw on youtube mention there can be reading errors (display shows "E") when shooting near fluorescent or other non continuous light. My testing was at day light, and so far had not problems.

The reason I choose this was the price, witch was the lowest I could find.

I had no means to compare with other more expensive, but the results seam consistent (better pellets result in less variations).

Had one for about a year now and no problems at all. They're very popular in the UK and people have compared readings with all the usual expensive offerings and no difference in accuracy. The LEDs are a little vulnerable to being accidentally shot but are easily replaceable for pennies.

What is the function of those LED lights?

It's an optical chronometer, they shine infrared light and the unit at the top measures the interruptions as projectiles pass through.

I've chronoed my 162MI and FWB 65 with a Chrony (forget which model - Beta, perhaps?) Lighting is pretty picky with the small pellet, but it's doable.

I have the airgun trigger for my Labradar, but don't recall ever using it for air pistol.
