AP40 repair

A sad story!
At the end of 2019 the AP40 of my wife, lost compression. The cylinder was OK, we tested it on another gun. So we took the gun back to Frauenberg armory in Luxembourg. Frauenberg is/was a Hämmerli representative where we bought the gun, many years ago. He warned us that the gun had to return to the factory, that was now Walther. And that it could take some time...Finally, after six months Frauenberg could inform us that the gun was ready for pick-up. Repair cost € 115,-, not too bad. So far so good.
But after 100 shots we refilled the cylinder and the gun stopped working: at the trigger release not shot was fired. It sounded like there was no compressed air came in the chamber?
I'm aware that I can only return the gun to Walther, but I'm wondering if anyone had similar problems and if so, what was the cause.
I hope someone can bring some light on this.
Thanks.
G.
