I feel like adding a new AP to the stable...

I already have the EVO10E and a 162 EI Short, but also the FAS 6004, 604 and Air Match 600.

At one point I was contemplating trading in the 162EI Short on a CM200I, but that is not really a possibility in Australia now, as there is nil stock, and I will be amazed if any arrives within 3 - 6 months. I'm also still quite attached to the 162EI Short, it's 12 years old, bought second-hand and had no sign of use whatsoever. Looks as though it left the factory this morning and it's fit & finish seem to be of a higher standard than current examples.

I am also a little concerned about reported quality issues with the CM200I, but that might be the usual teething issue associated with initial production run examples.

And the big question is, are the electronics of the CM200 such a great leap forward compared to the 162EI? The EVO10E trigger is sublime - it's not one generation better than the 162EI - at least two, or even three generations better.

However, there is still stock of the FWB P8X here in Australia and, although I've handled one, I have not had the opportunity to test-fire one. It's looks are a bit strange & polarizing too - looks as though it was designed by the work experience kid whilst on a meth-fueled bender !

OK, The P8x has a magnificent Trigger, I have a P44.
That said, why not jump back into the wayback machine for a couple minutes.
Try a Daisy 777 or 747. 777s are hard to find but 747s are in production.
They have a very crisp single stage trigger. They are a bit nose heavy, they have pretty
decent sights and they are hard pressed to shoot much over 375 fps. They may be an
acquired taste BUT shooting it well means you do so many things correctly. The glacial
lock time and slow velocity combine to force you into a rock solid hold through the entire shot process
or you can move the impact point unimaginable distances from call. They are certainly capable of cleaning
the target and a absolutely require you to have the basics down cold. They do like the largest diameter pellets so
you can squeeze them when you close the bolt. You could make far worse choices for a LOT
more money. Try it and you will be surprised what it can teach you. I have had a 777 since they were new to the
market, and I'll never let it go.......

That's not a bad idea Spektr.

If I could get a Daisy 747 in Australia, I would. I seem to remember reading that Don Nygord won a US National Championships with a Daisy.

For the reasons you mentioned, I enjoy shooting my FAS 604 and 6004. As everything is so slow compared to one of the ubewr match air pistols, it forces you to be very deliberate and to concentrate fully on each step of the process.
