Morini CM84E cocking lever wear

I have noticed that the cocking lever of my CM84E has a lot of wear (see pictures).
The pistol works fine, but there is definitely a part grinding against the lever and causing wear. I have used a permanent marker to color the area and after shooting, the paint is gone and the metal is shiny again.
I have got the pistol used and I don't much about its history, the lever seems to have a shape slightly different than what's depicted in the manual.
I hope to have some time to take apart the pistol this week end and take a look, but I wanted to ask in the meanwhile if this has been observed before.

Thanks!

Update:
Morini replied to my question via email (very quickly, I sent them an email over the WE, got the reply this morning :-) ).
The polished area is WAI and the small dip that I assumed was caused by wear is actually manually added at the factory.
As long as the pistol functions correctly, there is no need to fret.
I hope it helps others in the same situation.

Attached, a picture of a brand new lever they sent me.
