Pull trigger from first stage vs second stage

Post by seamaster »

On my two stage trigger, I had the practice of pull to second stage, align/focus, then pull through/follow-through.

But lately, i am having a major bout of chicken finger. Forcing through chicken finger was causing major unfocusing, wobble. You know the drill, you know the result.

I remembered someone mentioned “got to keep that finger rolling” during trigger pull.

So I started pulling from first stage with alignment. Almost not noticing second stage is there at all.

Result s much more centered. Not much chicken finger, pulling from first stage. Keep finger rolling.

Most of you pulling from first stage or second stage?

It all deponds on setup..
What style of second stage do you have set up ?
Is it break like glass feel or a slight roll off trigger feel ?
What is your weight distribution 1st to 2nd stage ?
