Blind in one eye, can't see out of the other

After looking at warped and fuzzy sights for far too long, I broke down for a new lens for my Champion glasses (not to mention my scores were dropping).
I had my long time eye Dr. really do a number (I brought in a gun). I took the scrip to a local lens maker. They were amazed to see the scrip written to 1/8 of a diopter and be told if they didn't get it right they were going to eat it ($44).
Finally, at the range, the moment of truth! Of course, this came at the peak of the local allergy season here, and I was suffering from the previous nights partying...
With shaking hand and eyes like peeled grapes, I raised the gun.....and couldn't hit shit!
BUT, the sights were wondrous! Dead sharp front sight with a relaxed gaze and with no distortion of the rear notch due to astigmatism.
I'll just have to find something else to whine about.
