Hello all,
Calling on your expertise. May be an easy question for some of you. Does anyone know if an 1813 barreled action will drop into an older 1413 stock(wing style safety). Any modifications needed?
Thanks in advance.

Very little work required. If the 1813 still has the safety, a little relief will need to be made for it. The rest will be obvious; a little around the tang, maybe a little around the trigger and depending on the barrel the 1411 was made for (there were several barrel contours on early to late 1411's), maybe a little woodwork there. All pretty simple and doesn't take long and doesn't take an expert.

Thank you for the help. I was actually asking about a 1413 stock rather than a 1411. I assume the information you gave would apply to either one?

Yes it would. By the mid 1960s Anschutz had settled on the barrel profiles they use today. Both the 1411 and 1413 had the same heavy barrel from this period.
Barrel profile is more a problem when fitting a 1411/13 into an 18/1900 stock. Early 1400 heavy barrels were slightly wider than the later 24mm "heavy". If the stock is wooden, and has been epoxy bedded under the barrel, you have to remove some epoxy for the wider 14xx barrel to fit.

Thank you Tim, I appreciate the information. What I was interested in doing was picking up an 1813 barreled action and putting it into a 1974 1413 stock I have.

All round Anschutz actions fit in all round Anschutz stocks.

You can also take the, never in my life seen used, safety off the 1813 trigger and it will drop right in.
