Having just purchased a MR73 in .32, would a starting load be around 2.1gn bullzeye, pushing a 98gn dewc.

Having reloaded the 32 acp and 32 S&W long using Alliant Bullseye powder, the load of 2.1 gr BE under a .314 dia 98 gr DEWC should work fine.

Bullseye powder is very forgiving in that there is no minimum load requirement - other than the concern about getting a projectile stuck in the bore. It's always good to make sure the target has a hole for each round fired when developing a load. Good luck!

98 gr DEWC suggests 32 long? I load for my semi-auto pistols, do not have a revolver in the caliber. For my pistols in 32L, I would use 1.7 gr bullseye for the LL, 1.4 for the SL. What is your target velocity?

I use 1.3gr of N310 powder behind 98gr Speer HBWC in my MR73. Very accurate load and N310 doesn't leave much residue. I get the odd flyer - my barrel slugs at 0.315"-0.316" so I will try swaging the same projectiles a bit bigger soon.

My old .32 Manurhin load (1995) was 1.8 WST (837 fps) or 2.1 W231 (766 fps)
with a homecast cast 90g cast .312 BNWC.
I changed to a Manurhin .38 in 1997.
My current .32 autoload 1.8g Bullseye (760 fps) or 1.5g VVn310 (727 fps) with
a 98g HBWC.
Using the homecast cast 90g BNWC with 1.6g N310 (785 fps).

After shooting .32 s&wl since 1975 I find that my Manurhin works most accurately using the same load as JBshooter.

1.3 grns. vvn310 behind a .314 98 grn. hbwc. I have also had success with 1.3 grns.452 AA

Be careful using too much powder as it defeats the mild recoil provided by the .32s&wl caliber.

I believe they have stopped bringing VV N310 into the country and if you are still using 452AA, then you
havn't been doing enough shooting.
Step one in Australia is to find out what powders are available in store, then find a load to fit.

Very true David but I have stockpiled 1.5 kilos of VV and 5 kilos of 452AA.
At 1.3 grns. per load I will either wear out several barrels or die before running out...probably the latter.

I tried other powders like Trailboss etc. but nothing meters as well as VV or 452 in my experience.

Step one for me was to find a powder that I like and then buy enough to future proof my needs.

Hopefully Vihtavuori propellant becomes available in Australia once again. Really nice stuff. I’m down to my last couple of hundred grains of N320.

What a paradox. Good supply of n310 here in the US. Not so good supply of quality swaged 32cal s&w wadd cutters.

Continue to have good results in a .32 Manhurin with 1.6g WST and lately using readily available Vindicator 98gHBWC, sized at .314.

There are quite a few cottage industry manufacturers of projectiles in Australia. Some have moved to production at a commercial level over the years and others have stayed at a “cottage industry” level working from their garage...or in one case I am aware of churning them out in his lounge room.

This situation resulted from not being to obtain commercially produced .32’s some years back and enterprising shooters decided to solve the problem themselves. The result has been wonderful for shooters and the quality is excellent.

Considering Australia has 24 million people and the U.S. has 300 million I am surprised that a similar situation hasn’t developed in the U.S.

Try comparing the number of active ISSF centre fire shooters in both countries and you'll find the answer.

Nice grip on the gun in the photo - would anyone know who makes these grips. Gun looks too long to fit into issf box?

It is a Nills grip... Still available in both fixed or adjustable palmrests...

I like the fixed palmshelf Morini grips a little better..
