FAS Domino 602 manual - ENGLISH

Hi All,
Not sure how many of these old girls are still in use, but I managed to source an Italian version of the 602 manual and I have converted it into English.
I have a standard A4 copy and also created an A6 copy which can be printed to created a small booklet if desired. If you print multiple pages on one sheet of the A6 you get 4 pages per sheet.
Works well especially if you can bind it. If not just run some staples over it.
EDIT: the A4 version is too large, send me a PM if you want it

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers Nick

Greetings Nick,

Many thanks. Once I locate an FAS602 to add to my collection, I will be able to know how to use it.

Cheers,

Dave

I just purchased a Fas 602 Domingo a couple days ago. Have only shot it a bit, seems quite nice.

By chance does the manual describe how to adjust the trigger pull? Mine will hold 2 3/4 lb, and I would prefer it lighter.

Is this something you can email?

Thx

greg

My pleasure Dave,

Greg, the trigger adjustments are included in the manual.
Did you download the attachment?

Nick, I didn't notice the attachment at first, but yes I now have downloaded it. Thanks!!

What is interesting is that IF I understand it, I think it suggests the trigger is 2 stage? Mine doesn't feel like one, but perhaps it is adjusted to feel single stage. Hmmm, I'll have to ask Jon to take a look at it.

Also, are you aware of any source for additional magazines? Will later models work?

Take the hammer box outand you will see a small block on the side that you can press backards with a small screwdriver to test the trigger.

Turn the small socket head screw "I" CCW 1/8 turn at a time until you feel a second stage. Then turn it CW 1/16 turn at a time until the second stage disappears. Then turn it CCW 1/32 turn at a time until it appears again.

Carry on this procedure with ever reducing movements until you have a second stage that is "right on the edge". Yow will hopefully find that when you hit the second stage you actually feel a click. Most 602s can be adjusted to have the click but a very small number can't.

Take the hammer box out. .

David, I removed the larger socket head screw in front of the trigger, the trigger box is loose, but does not want to lift out all the way out? The manual doesn't address this step. I didn't try to force it, is there another step?

Thanks!!

It's a few years since I did one but I can't remember there being anything other than the one screw holding it. If it's got an adjustable trigger shoe then you might have to take that off.

You shouldn't need to take the trigger box out to remove the hammer box.

OK, got it ( you said hammer box, I read trigger). I was able to reduce the pull to 2 1/4, by adjusting the screw in front of the trigger, didn't't seem to want to go lower. Probably me. I'll let my friend Jon look at it to adjust stage 2 (so I don't completely screw it up).

Thx again.

Thanks for the post!

For any Canadians looking to obtain a 602, TradeEx still has them in stock.

I bought a FAS 602 after being subjected to years of Taregettalk FAS 602 "indoctrination" by David Levene.

He was right.

Great gun; have no regrets. Most of the time I even prefer it to my 607...

Mine is a very early model 602, in excellent condition. I just ordered some Rink grips, the ones on it didn't fit me well. The gun is rather heavy, but very nicely balanced.

The 602 had the option of two barrel shrouds. I have both and find the "heavy" one too heavy. The other one makes the gun perfectly balanced.

Match 2 - Extended sideways compared with the frame
Match 1 - Square top edges
Standard - Chamfered top edges in steel
Ladies - Chamfered top edges in aluminium (my memory is hazy on this)

I still have my 602 ... bought it in 1979. Parts may still be available in the USA from Neil Stepp (in Texas).

For many years I used the heavy barrel shroud both at Perry and the International qualifiers in Phoenix and Los Angeles with good results.
When my eyes started to go downhill I mounted a red dot but because it was now very nose heavy, I switched to the lighter standard shroud.
