Reading over the rules, adjustable iris's whether front or rear a no go for sporter. Is it permissible to change the rear iris our for a different fixed aperture one?

Bear in mind the recent cheapo Gamo type sights fitted to many recent sporter rifles may have 9mmx1 thread where standard Anschutz is 9.5 x 1mm. It may be hard to find alternative fixed aperture iris with 9mm thread. The older non chinese Gamo sights with "Gamo" molded into the body are standard 9.5 thread.
