Perhaps it's because it's 115F (46C+) here today. Hotter tomorrow and it's not even summer yet.

It doesn't slow down my SSP or LP1.
As Kipling said, "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday Sun."

I'm surprised it "doesn't work". It may not shoot well, but it still have plenty of (excess) pressure. All the CO2 will turn to a supercritical fluid above ~ 87F.
I'm curious as to the exact symptoms. I used to shoot a Walther CP1, and in Boston we can certainly get warmer than 87F. I don't recall if I ever shot it when it was that warm.

I was joking, because I no longer own a CO2 gun. I was calling attention to the record high temperature.
CO2 guns don't work because they become overpressured, locking the the valve. This can be cured by bleeding the cylinder which also cools it. This only works for a while and must be done again.
I once got through a match this way (winning it) with a 102F temperature, but it was a PIA.
CO2 guns work extremely well in more moderate temperatures. We also have a good air conditioner in the range now.
Hey Clarence, don't you miss it even a little?
