Much better news on Day 3 here in Szczecin, POL!
Marco DeLaRosa (USMC) shot a great P1 Men’s Air Pistol match and final, finishing with a silver medal only 1.1 behind Sergey Malyshev from RUS (2008 PG medalist). After a rough start, 7 of his next 10 shots were 10.0 or higher and he stayed 1-2 places ahead of elimination. All of the 6 he helped eliminate have much more International experience.
Mike Tagliapietra finished 19th and Len Esparza was 30th. Both of them compete in the P5 event tomorrow.
Our women shooting FTR2 also did well. Both Jazmin Almlie and McKenna Dahl made it to the semi-final round before being eliminated there. Both of them compete in the R5 Air Rifle Prone SH2 (Mixed) event tomorrow, our last day before moving on to Hannover, Germany.
