Britarms 2000 MkII Jamming

I have a Britarms Model 2000 MK II that belonged to one of the early owners of the Britarms factory. I acquired it from a close friend of the owner in 1995. The Serial No. is 2579. It occasionally jams. I can feel a little roughness in the action when I pull the slide back. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Someone suggested that it may simply be due to old ammunition. I seem to recall reading that it can be adjusted for various loads.

Take a look at:-
http://westlakeengineering.com/
When you read the section on Britarms remember that cartridge pistols are banned in the UK unless they are 'Longarms' i.e. 12" barrel and overall length >24"
Called 'Longarms' to avoid the dreaded word 'Pistol', it got through the legislation with less difficulty that way.

My Father (with a fit of patriotism) bought a Britarms pistol and had nothing but trouble with it (back to the factory etc), and so, after a dose of reality, dumped it and bought a Hammerli (and never looked back). All a bit moot as everything got crushed by the police. If you could ask him for his advice, I can guess what it would be.....
