SSP grudge match

We shot a short 300 match. My Pardini K58 vs Rovers Walther LPM1. My score 268 his 277. I think that is what they were. We left the cards at the range. I know he bested me by at least 7 points. All was not lost as we then had a PCP match, my Morini CM162E vs his Steyr LP1P. I think I got him on that one , mine was 278. Not sure what he got. We had a good time. We are both trying to get tuned up for the International Sectionals and the Desert Mid-Winter. Come and shot with us, all are welcome. You will get to see Rover in the flesh. That alone is worth the trip.

A guy shooting with us is now looking for a IZH46M (because he can't find something better).
Siordian commented that anyone who couldn't pump a SSP was, like Obama, a pussy.

Pah! SSP's are easy to pump. A little girl could do it. A real man uses a PCP and charges the cylinders with a pump. Now that's much more of a work out. ;)

Sorta like Siordian said. Well, you PCP users have now been called out!
Remember: If you can have just one gun, it should be a SSP.

Unfortunately, whilst I'm brilliant at pumping up air pistols, I'm no good at shooting them :D

Do you know, I've often thought that a top class shooter could shoot just as well with an Izzy, once they'd got used to it.

I certainly have never said that I can't pump an SSP, but I can't understand why the heck you would want to.
Opening the loading port 70-80 times on a PCP is easier than pumping an SSP the same number of times.
I would much rather concentrate on my shooting technique (or what little is left of it).

Who ever said easier is better?
Why not take the road less traveled. (The Proud, the Few, and all that.)

I thought it had been very well travelled in the past......However they have now built a freeway alongside.
I tried an SSP some years back with consideration to buying it, however at the same time I was overcome by an irresistible urge to ride my horse to the Range instead of driving my car.
I thought "where will this end"... button up front trousers, lace up riding boots?.
Finally I abandoned the idea and all those nostalgic feelings disappeared leaving me with an LP10, scuba bottle and BMW.

Well, I have an LP1 and a scuba tank and a BMW (motorcycle), but I still go beating around the desert in my Jeep and compete with my Walther LPM1.

True, I look like that, but all these years I thought it was from whipping it out to pee.
