Target practice at home.

Want to buy a target holder to replicate competition.
Need, something that holds a NRA regulation B-40 , 10 meter air pistol target perfectly still at the exact height.
Would like a stand that the paper target slides into and not just a "clip" at the top so the target waves in the wind
Where do you buy your B-40 targets?.
Ideas where to buy such a product and price?

Anyone practice with other targets and at other distances?

The Gehmann Pistol Target Trap sold by Pilkguns is excellent.

I hung mine off of a piece of plywood that hangs on the wall. All set up to be at the proper height.

Beyond that, you can get into fancier target systems like the Gehmann with the hand crank or a Rika with the electric motor. Several people here have made DIY target holders, some of which are motorized.

Dedicating the space to run the cables vs just walking over and swapping the targets on the one I have is up to you. In my case, I have no good place to set up a cable driven system, and the time to walk over and swap targets is trivial, not much different than the time I spend at matches with the cable driven target carriers.

The Gehmann trap is nice, I have a couple, however they will not accept a B-40 target without trimming. They are designed for ISSF compliant (17cm square) targets available from our host.

I am interested with that Gehmann trap. I am sure I will handle it more carefully.

You don't want to use a B40 target anyway. They suck!

Rover, Kruger makes NRA B-40 targets in addition to the ISSF 10M pistol, I know I bought them by mistake, twice.

Live and learn. Some B40 targets don't suck.

Yeah I knew it. Because I myself can prove as I did not have had that kind of experience.
