What kind of oil do you use for your .22 match pistol?

I found these:

I'd like to hear your opinions on those oils, or other oils who might be better.

Greetings

Charles

Any light oil, such as 3 in 1.

I like Rem-Oil because it comes in a neat little non-leaking drip bottle.

There are a number of "CLP" (Cleans, Lubricates & Protects) oils on the market that are readily available & work fine for both cleaning & oiling most pistols. The original was developed for the US military, and was sold under the "Breakfree" brand. I'm not sure if the current "Breakfree" is the same, however.

Lately, I have been using something called "Slip 2000". it claims that it leaves a film that fouling doesn't adhere to. I've been using it on a couple AR-15 based match rifles, and I think it does make them a little easier to keep clean.

There are only about 500 gun oils on the market. I suspect all but a few work perfectly well. One issue is that some semi-auto pistols don't like higher viscosity oils, even Breakfree/Slip 2000. Rem Oil is watery thin, and works well in those instances. My Benelli MP90S was fussy about oil when it was new, and I use Rem Oil on it. Now that it is thoroughly broken in, I suspect it doesn't matter as much.

I like Remoil. No smell (like hoppes #9 BR) and a nice container. Teflon leaves a nice coating behind, which is great for autoloaders.

CorrosionX Aviation. In a pinch on range I use CLP or Remoil.
