IR camera based pistol

Recently, my neighbor's kid yelled across the fence, "Don't shoot!!"
That got me wanting to cut down actually shooting down.

This is an infra-red camera based system, just like SCATT, that gives me 1/10 point accuracy, tracing just like SCATT for training.
They also have a laser based pistol system for modern pentathlon.
Advantage and disadvantage of IR camera system vs. laser system?
How does IR camera system compare to laser system under the out door sun? Granted, if I get those systems, I will be doing shooting indoor.
