can someone give me directions on how to remove the slide from this pistol. I went to pilkguns for the instruction I dont understand moving the slide 10 mm, inserting the tool and aligning the slide breach, and pushing out the slide stop to the left.
The slide rod infront is about .250 in diameter with a rolled pin inserted. It looks like a T. Where is the tool inserted? The tool that came with the pistol is a flat piece of metal with 2 cut out that will fit on the rod sideways.I dont know what the bend does. Does this pistol slide is block by the slide stop. Does it disassemble like the 45 1911? I cannot get the connection of the front slide rod to the slide stop. Any documentation can help me figure out how to push the slide lock to the left to remove the slide. I pulled back the slide about half an inch, and tried to push back the rod and I also try to twist it to the left and right. The rod is not moving back or twisting. I did it gently no force at all. The instruction on pilkguns said push slide back and insert tool. I dont have any details on where the tool should be inserted.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The flat tool has a pair of parallel projections, they slide under the pin on the end of the guide rod when it is out 10mm. They make the spring captive so the slide stop can be slid out as in a 1911. Once the slide is off, the tool can be removed by pushing the guide rod toward the muzzle, freeing the barrel to lift out.

Do you have the .32 or .38 P240? Disassembly for cleaning is quite different.

BTW - for the .38 P240, I've found that a large paper clip works very well as a disassembly tool. Keep your original P240 takedown toll safe, they are quite rare now and very expensive to replace.
