Head Position

What 's the correct head position for air pistol. Relaxed without any tension or "locked up" to prevent movement. I am currently turning my head towards the target in the relaxed natural position. I noticed that my Knobloch lens holder is on the very end of the frame. Watching the video of World Championship, I noticed that none of the shooters had the lens set up that far to the right. They are turning their heads more towards the target, I would have tension in my neck if I turned my head as much as they.

Head position will vary from shooter to shooter, and it is related to your position regarding the target.
So if you are facing the target your head in it's normal position, and as you rotate to the more common position now seen in top shooters, you will have to rotate your head.
A "relaxed natural position" will be my advice, as long as you can keep it constant. That's the key, consistency.
A more tense position will cause fatigue during the match and you will inevitably move your head to compensate. It will be harder to maintain.
Don't worry if you are near the end of the adjustment in your glasses, as long as you are not looking trough the corner of your eye, and you can keep your eye looking through the center of your lenses, you are ok.

Hi,
I feel comfortable with a 10º/15º degrees angle and leaning my head slightly!
I remember watchin and old russian video where they teach the same head possition!

Thanks. The stiffness in the neck also comes with age.
