Well, I have memory of the illfated old Walther FP, featuring an electronic trigger. If that calamity repeats itself, you may face enduring problems...
I hope not.

You should contact walther service. Propably the battery is dead and need replacement.
It happened to a couple of SSP-E our federation had at deep storage.

If your SSP-E is fixed and you report that it is problem-free, I'll be interested in getting one myself.

In some of the first Walther SSP-E the battery went dead after longer periods without using (like Ghostrip described) - we now use a different battery-type and send this to customers free of charge for an easy replacement (is fixed with a doubleside-adhesive tape). BUT: if you really can charge the battery, but then the trigger doesn't react, that's obviously no battery problem, but maybe a loose wire etc.
Perhaps just check the inner parts after dismantle yourself, maybe you can see a loose or broken connection, that would be the first step.
(more detailed help for a repair via PM)

Love it. Can't keep my hands of it ( the SSP-E I mean)
The trigger is so smooth that people don't believe that it's over 1000gr - it's set to 1020gr electronically...

Not in German ("batterie"), but it is in Dutch.

*Update*
Few days ago i received a battery i ordered myself on a webshop (i will post it below). I noticed the new battery didnt have a connector so i let a friend of my (Hes better with electronics and has more patience) disassemble the connector and put it on the battery. And 10 minutes later ; IT WORKED!!
This is the battery you need:
https://www.conrad.nl/nl/renata-lithium ... 52019.html
Its a 401230 battery i dont know whats the connector is or what it is called,so for people with the same problem; dont break the power connector. (the original battery is 100mah but 130 is a bit safer with charging)
