Metal Refinish

I love my FWB100. I've altered the grip and will probably do some more work to get it just right.
The metal on the charging lever and just a tad on the bottom barrel shroud is worn. My research on the internet indicates this is normal on this gun as the finish wasn't as durable as it could have been. So, I'm considering anodizing (probably not great wearing on the lever), powdercoating, or ceracoat/durakote/etc.
I'm curious if anyone else has refinished the lever on the 100 or 102 and how it went.
Just as an added fact, I'm considering going with grey to give it a different look.
Thanks!
David

cerakote should be the most durable. but it needs very good preparation of the surfaces to get the best results. durakote is similar to cerakote. both can be done at home (at well ventilated areas of course).

Thanks. I've used Ceracoat before. Sadly, it is not available here in Europe. No idea why. Nor Gunkote or the others. I think I'm going to have to send the parts back to the US to have anything done to me. At this point, I might just keep shooting and worry about it next year when I'm back in the States.

a year to wait is nothing. then you can have the whole pistol done professionally to look as good as new. my personal preference (not that it matters) would be to get the whole pistol a black finish as close to the original. Although some fwb 10x at egun with 2 tone paint jobs look interesting to begin with, the close up photos make me wish i could sandblast them myself.

Cerakote is widely available in Europe but perhaps not in the aerosol cans your used to.
I believe from past posts your in Germany ??

I've had a couple of FAS pistols and a TOZ 49 revolver cerakoted. They look awesome ...
Cerakote is highly recommended...

Thanks, Remmy. You are correct. It is available in cans. I just left my compressor and sprayer in Alabama when I deployed to Belgium. Still have to wait until I get back. Ah, well.
Thanks for the replies.
