I have a Morini 162ei. It has a groove 90 degrees to the trigger. I have seen this on other guns too. Is this where the trigger weight is supposed to rest ? I get different readings if put it there as opposed to further down on the trigger.
Thanks

ISSF rule 8.4.2 says "The weight of the trigger pull must be measured, with the test weight suspended near the middle of the trigger (see illustrations) and the barrel held vertically."

Provided that the groove is "near the middle of the trigger" then I would expect most EC officers to use it.

If it is obviously not near the middle of the trigger then I would expect them to ignore the groove.

Makes sense. Thank you David.
On my gun, the groove is not at the middle of the trigger.
