2014 USA WC Women AP DSQ reason?
SRAO Harven was DSQ because of trigger weight. How can you get disqualified? If your the trigger weight is too light during check in, won't she simply increase the weight right there and then? A mere 30 seconds job.
Or is it they will do trigger weight test AFTER the relay? The report does not list her target, as if she has never started. So I don't know.
Anyone has an insight as to how you can fail that test and not be able to adjust the weight right away??

The only way to get DSQ for trigger weight is if the test is done AFTER the match and the pistol fails the three attempts.
If the test was done before and the trigger didn't adjust properly, it should be a malfunction and not a DSQ.
This is one of the recommendations of the ISSF for 2014 and onwards, not to do a mandatory test before (although you still can), but to test after the match certain selected athletes. It´s more effective that way.
It forces the athletes to be more careful in setting up their guns.
Hope this helps

The results sheet clearly shows 8.4.2.3 as the reason for disqualification.conradin wrote:SRAO Harven was DSQ because of trigger weight. How can you get disqualified? She failed a post-competition trigger weight check.
Remember that pre-competition trigger weight checks are now purely voluntary.
