The FPM is still visible, but it appears that the electronic-trigger Pardini FPE model is absent from Pardini.it and Pardini USA websites. Does anyone have news about this?

They don´t make them anymore. I got one when I thougt I needed a 2 stage trigger. Electronic failures. I went to Pardini´s tent in Munich and it wasn´t even on the shelf. Alberto reached down and picked one up, looking a little embarrased. It had the same fault as mine, trigger always cocked, not a problem in it self but it´s likely to go bang when you close the loadinggate.

I got 3 brand new electronic modules. They attach to the frame with 2 screws. One fitted poorly. Second could be attached using only one screw. Both had the same fault. Third couldn´t be mounted at all.

The FPM also has a 2stage trigger, wich can easily be adjusted to a singlestage, crisp or looong rolling. Far better feeling than the FPE wich actually got... mushy? when the batteries got low.
Better than TOZ too I would say. And much more simple.

The only problem I see with FPM/K22 is the extractor. Don´t know if its common, but if you break it, it will probably be very hard to get it out.
Get one.

Too bad about the FPE problem. I was curious if its disappearance might indicate a model change coming up.

A few years back I had an early K22 like the one Nicole reviewed http://tinyurl.com/lqo9zse and liked it a lot. The action and lockwork in these pistols is brilliant simplicity, and everything can be easily accessed. I never had trouble with the extractor and it didn't appear to be a sensitive part. Although it seems designed to just clear the chamber rather than eject/flip the cartridge, a brisk lever motion usually put the empty on the bench.

The latest FPM appears to have been refined with a different grip angle, and possibly a lower bore axis. I'm giving it a close look.

They are no longer selling the electric RF pistol either. Have been told it is because there were too many problems with it. Was also told that many of those problems were caused by the user messing with it too much and if you left it alone, it was very reliable. Kind of sounds like what I have heard about IZH and Matchguns sport pistols. If you get one that works, it will always work but sometimes you never know what you are getting when you first get it.

Just out of curiosity, are the trigger units between the FPE and FPM in any way interchangeable?

The triggerblade, the bent pin it´s stuck to and the screw is identical between K22, FPM and FPE. Can also be mounted on SP and HP.
