I was reading the ISSF rule book online; Centerfire triggers are 1000g according to the rules. When did this change ? I am getting old. CRS !
Or is this a misprint. My FAS 603 has a Don Nygord prepared 1360g trigger. Sweet.

I wouldn't bet my house on the date, but I remember it being the same when RF caliber went from .22 Short to .22 LR, first years of this century.

Before you fiddle with your "sweet" Nygord trigger, think carefully. The change in trigger weight had more to do with conformity with other matches than with gaining an advantage. When the rule was changed, I lowered the weight on 2 revolvers with readily adjustable trigger weights. The first few shots felt delightfully "light". By the time I had fired 50 shots, you couldn't feel the difference - it's what you are used to. If the Nygord trigger is giving you pleasure, why change it??

interesting
when I dropped my CF GSP from 1360+g to 1000+g it took me some months to recalibrate my brain. Despite the majority of my shooting being done with a 1000+g trigger (for Rapid Fire Pistol and some Standard Pistol), my brain still expected the CF GSP trigger to be heavier and I popped of more than my share of shots in Precision stage when taking up the first stage.
I got used to it, but it took a while.

I sometimes wonder why I changed mine...
My CF revolvers are still at 1360+ for the Australian Service Pistol matches.
