Advice for newbie with Walther CP2

Post by gordonhurst »

Just bought a Walther CP2 online. Ive shot 22 long rifles and pistols but this is my first CO2 pistol. Have not received it yet, but want to start looking for pellets and other supplies.

What pellets would people recommend? And where's a good place to buy them?

Any other general advice for a newbie to this discipline?

Thanks in advance!

I've always used Vogel Sport.
These are the cheaper training pellets.

RWS Basic are about the cheapest decent pellet (from Champion Shooters Supply). Buy at least a sleeve (two is better) and have it sent Priority Mail.

If this isn't enough info, I can post some of my pellet tests ( or you can Search pellets under my handle), though I use the Basics myself. I know of other pellets that MAY shoot better, but I am very sure no one can shoot well enough to see any difference.

BTW The Walther CP series were delightful guns (I've owned three...one I bought from the Canadian National Champ). If you can't score well with one of those...give up!
