Knapp mount on a 208s

I am using a Larry Carter/Knapp mount on a 208s.
No matter how tight I try to tighten the Allen bolt that attaches it to the
barrel the mount slips back after 20 or 30 rounds.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop the mount from
slipping?
Thanks!

Make sure there is no oil on any of the mating surfaces. Spray both mating surfaces with a degreasing spray before sliding them together.

This sounds reasonable. i would also suggest using a Torx head wrench rather than an Allen wrench. If your hands are not terrible strong, you will get more tightening power.
Be careful though. I was told by a gunsmith who works mostly on Hammerlis that the one allen screw set up, on the Knapp mount is a little fragile. It really needs two.
Also take a close look at the weight on the bottom of your Hammerli that the Knapp mount is attached to. If it is not the original large weight that the Knapp mount is designed to be attached to, your problems could lie there.
Im amending this. If your mount is actually the one that Larry Carter manufactures, and it slides directly onto the barrel. The problem may be the allen head mounting screw itself is too short.

I had the same problem many years ago when I first got my Knapp mount. IIRC, Mr. Knapp told me to tighten the screw while the mount was off the gun to tighten the tolerances. To be certain, I would call Larry Carter and ask him.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions everybody.
I ended up sending it back to Larry who turned it around in an unbelievably
short time!
Works great now!
