Hi guys I inherited a large amount of 98grn Double Ended Wad Cutters (they look like little barrels with centre lube rings) and a big supply of Vhitavouri N320 for loading up an old Pardini ISSF Target Pistol in SW .32 long. I was not given the loading data for it. I know most people shoot the 98grn HBWC over Bullselye of WST but im keen to use up what I have. Could anyone suggest a suitable and accurate load for me? I cant find anything on the net for this mix?

Greetings,

N320 powder charges for the 32 S&W are not documented. Translation, no one has tested the loads in a pressure barrel for safety.

Personally, I have used N320 in the 32 S&W Long. My charge was 1.70 grains of N320.

I strongly suggest the use of a chronograph for load development.

725 FPS with a 98-100 grain bullet "should" be safe.

Cheers,

Dave

With a wadcutter bullet it doesn't matter whether or not it is hollow base. It displaces the same space as another wadcutter of the same weight, therefore you can use any "98 grain" data you can find.

Good luck!

Rover is correct that either will work, but I might add that most loads you find in manuals are for revolvers and are kind of hot for a semiauto at even starting loads. -- Bill --
