I will be shooting at the National Matches this year after last competing in 2007 and I see that the CMP has added a new "warm-up" match to be fired on the Tuesday before the Preliminary Aggregate.

What time (approximately) does this match start? Is it fired early in the morning, like the President's 100?

They did not have it the first year I went to Perry in 2008 but I think it started in 2009. I have the distinct impression that I have shot it three times.
The squadding and ranges was really screwed up last year and a lot of us wound up with no assigned firing point, on the wrong range having to move and infiltrate. I believe the first relay started at 8. I know it was in the morning. I think they try and do DR and the Harry Reeves match that day too, but those are NRA matches.
If you are going to shoot the Warm up match, you probably should not be signed up for the SAFS. The warm up match, also known as the Vice Presidents match is scheduled to be shot in conjunction with the Advanced SAFS, although you can sign up for either, none, or both.

Thanks for the information. I was guessing that it would be held in the morning, both to allow similar lighting conditions to the President's 100 and to avoid interference with the NRA revolver matches in the afternoon.

Fortunately I can pack light for Tuesday with just my ball gun and distinguished revolver in the box. I'll be ready to scramble up and down the firing line as needed.
