Crosman Supermatch

I was looking around for a lighter weight pellet and saw the Crosman Supermatch pellet at 7.9gr. Has anyone tried these Supermatch pellets in their match rifle? Just curious how these might perform compared to other brands commonly used like RWS and H&N.

Buy a tin and test them, it's the only way you'll find out if they work for you an your gun.

Richard H is right, but in my testing of two batches with a Steyr LP1 air pistol I found them unsatisfactory.

Since the guy below asked: in every instance of my pellet testing a light pellet was MORE accurate.

Snoop around for more of my pellet tests.

I have to ask:

Why is having a lighter pellet even important? The target is not moving, the wind is not blowing... I am confused. : )

I get very good results shooting the yellow tin RWS pellets from my old FWB so I really have not looked around for anything else.

Cheers,
'Dude

Thanks for the feedback on the pellet. As for going to a lighter one, in the past I noticed slight muzzle rise with standard weight pellets from different makers. I had some RWS lights when I first got my rifle a few years ago and gave them to a pistol shooter without trying them first. He said that he could tell a difference in the shot cycle so I thought I'd try a lighter pellet. I'm not sure if the problem is with the absorber in my rifle not working properly, but I figure its worth trying.
