I have an old Savage Anshutz model 64 Match target rifle I use for prone smallbore shooting. I know someone who has a Lyman All-American 20x scope with target turrets and AO. I am not familiar with this scope. Would this scope be a good match for my rifle?

Mike the All American Lymans were good scopes. I used lower powers on hunting and benchrest rigs in the 60s. Never used the 20x though.
I have a similar deal with my Anschutz 1413 54 Supermatch and a Redfield 3200 scope. Nostalgia Prone I call it.
Any idea on the restoring of BE-L?

Thanks Jack. I'll have to look into this scope a little further, then. I bought the Savage/ Anshutz a few years ago from an old, former high school shooter. I'm just into smallbore for the recreational aspect. I'm not a serious contender. Don't know what's up with the BL and have no ideas.

The Lyman 20X scopes were great when they were externally mounted like a Unertyl. They are a perfect power to be used indoors yet at longer ranges the mirage doesn't make them disfunctional. Your internally adjusted Lyman probably limits the amount of adjustment probably in the range of 20 moa which is fine for smallbore. I have a externally mounted Bauch @ Lomb which also only gives 20moa. Great for indoor but I need 24moa for 100yd palma. Check to see how many moa you have on that Lyman. Hope this helps.
