Questions on Scatt enviroment

Generally I shoot 10 meter air in the winter, and smallbore silhouette in the summer. To obtain 10 meters for air rifle, I shoot from a heated room into an attached unheated garage. The heating gradient can change quite a bit because the room has a wood burning stove, and the garage receives heat via a 36 inch doorway when I am shooting. I saw comments about artifacts due to heat and lighting. So I am concerned that it would not work properly due to the "heat mirage" gradients. Would this be an issue?

It might be an issue, but you won't know until you try it. Since it is an optical system it can be affected by heat waves as the cold and warm air mix.

One advantage of the Scatt is you could dry fire at distances of about 4-5 meters and that may keep you completely inside and not need to use the garage.
