AMT .22cal auto

Saw an AMT 22cal auto at the gun store today. Stainless one, 6" barrel. Light, nice looking pistol. Any good for bullseye???
AMT pistols in general have a poor history regarding quality issues. Their stainless .45 acp series (Hardballer, etc.) were poorly made (metal galling, poor plunger tube design, and on and on).
The only AMT pistols without poor reputations were the AMT-Backup series, small self defense products.
Target gun? ... not AMT, IMHO.
