Marvel Long Slide

I saw that Larry Carter is selling a long slide version of the Marvel .22 conversion for the 1911 type pistol. What advantage would a long slide have over the standard unit 1? Anyone shot one of the long slides?

The only real advantage that I can think of would be the longer sight radius for using iron sights. Had I to do it over again I would probably look real closely at the long slide version.

I use one with a dot. The increased lenght also adds a little weight to the gun which I like. Other than that ditto on what you guys said.
