MP532, Tau 200 Adult

Hi:
Just curious.
Anyone have expereince with the MP532 or the Tau 200 adult. I understand the MP532 is the rifle version of the Izzy 46 which has a
great reputation. As such it is an SSP. The Tau 200 is CO2, either 12gr or bulk. The 12 gr option would save purchasing a bulk tank and fill hose/valve and might be convenient.
Both of these seem to be available new in the same price range and I was wondering if they offer any real improvement over the much less expensive Daisy 753 or 887.
Just looking to the future and wondering if holding off, saving up for a base line FWB would make more sense if and when I get to that level.
Thanks in advance for your input.

I have a TAU-200-Junior
I got my TAU-200 used for less than what a new 753 sells for.
The trigger is MUCH better than what is on my Daisy 853/953, even w the Tom Johnson mods.
The TAU uses a transfer bottle, no hose.
You fill the transfer bottle from the co2 tank. It screws directly into the adapter on the bulk co2 tank.
The transfer tube is then used to transfer the co2 to the tank on the rifle.
A little conviluted, compared to directly filling co2 into a removable co2 cylinder on the rifle, but it works. And it does give you the option of using 12g co2 cartridges.
If you shoot a LOT, using a bulk co2 tank will probably be less expensive than co2 cartridges.
I originally went SSP for my AP, but tendonitis pushed me to gas CO2 and CA/PCP. For the same reason the TAU would be easier to shoot than the IZH, because you don't have to work the charging lever.
BUT neither the TAU nor IZH are sportster class rifles.
The other option is a used match spring rifle; FWB-300, Anschutz LG-380, or Diana 75. These old spring match rifles will still outshoot us mere mortals. But the SSP or co2 will still be easier to shoot better scores with.

I have a Baikal MP-532 and I like it very much. It shoots tens off of a rest quite well So any offhand shooting problems are Me the Shooter not the rifle. For the price I believe it is a very good buy. The factory stock is not very pretty. But a Twenty dollar Birchwood Casey Refinish kit and some TLC does wonders for it's apperance. The trigger is good but not quite up to the excellent 46M trigger. For what one costs new You don't have to take a chance on getting an bad used rifle. Hope this helps. Gary

I had a Tau senior. I'm more a fan of the Tau 7's though.
The stockfit of my senior wasnt 100% (still a tad loose with tight bolts) and my 200BT developed a crack in the pistolgrip (was already there, there already was a screw in it from new). A weak point of the 200's.
The BT also didnt cock fluendly.
Also, VERY prono to rust (as are the 7's) and many leak from new (the BT did, as did many of my 7's).
They both had a lovely shooting cycle though..

I wonder why TargetTalk has a separate forum for Olympic Rifle when the Shooters Lounge (for
non-discipline specific items) is such a convenient place for those who can not be bothered to make the effort to ask rifle questions in the rifle forum?

Somebody's in a bad mood - Joker, is that you?
BTW, same can be said for all those annoying Pistol questions ...
