Is there any advantages to using designated pistol specific 22lr ammo? And, what are the differences between pistol 22lr and regular 22lr match ammo?

Just use the cheapest that works and is accurate.

'Pistol' Ammo may be optimised for the shorter barrel, and sometimes to give a bit more recoil to cycle the action, may be lubricated differently and so on.
Light Blue Eley Pistol Match used to be optimised for free pistols apparently, RWS Pistol match used to be unbeatable (sample I tried recently was terrible).
Or it may be poorly grouping rifle ammo rebadged to sell to people who won't notice.
Just try different types, see what works, what is costs and go from there.

Some semi auto 22's function best with specific ammo brands. My Walther GSP ate everything it was fed. The Pardini SP prferred Wolf MT/SKJagd or RWS Target ammo. My older S&W 41 functioned well with SSI SV ammo.
