Does the World Cup circuit allow a certain number of participant from each country based upon specific criterion?

I assume that it's up to each country to determine the shooters who will fill those slots and each country can and will do it differently? Is there a minimum qualifying score that a country must shoot before the World Cup considers them?

The scores from the two New Zealand shooters in AP made me curious. If there is a minimum qualifying score before the World Cup circuit will consider allowing a country to participate, what would it be?

There are MQS's for events in the olympics but I'm not aware of any in other competitions. Each nation no doubt has there own selection rules and in GB for example we have major match and minor match qualifying scores.

USA Shooting will determine who represents the US in world cups. For world cups outside the US, a cut score (travel score) is required. The cut score is based on the average X place finisher at all world cups the previous year. The cut score was first used in 1988 or 89.

You would need to shoot a cut score in one of several specific matches held during the year; usually the national championships and any team selection matches. If you don't shoot one, you don't get to travel and represent the US. Teams representing the US in world cups are usually a very limited group comprised almost exclusively of existing US Shooting Team members.
