NRA 10 meter range

Post by zuckerman »

Howdy,
I'm looking for an NRA club range near madison wi for shooting on a 10 meter air pistol range. anybody from the area know of a place to shoot? The NRA listed clubs that I find on the internet searches do not show any air pistol ranges. thanks and drive carefully.

I'm not a help as far as location, but maybe you can broaden your search parameters? I think most 10m ranges are similar to ours, we run both ISSF & NRA 10M AP/AR. Find an 10m ISSF match and you have most likely found the place that will do NRA as well.

Good luck!

Hi Zuckermann,

You should broaden your search as OZ suggested. Pistol is not a big sport here in the great state of WI. There are ranges to shoot at towards Madison, but they are in Black Earth, Beloit, Sussex, and Lodi. Most of the people in this state shoot .22 rifle. Small amount of air rifle, and a ton of Highpower. Maybe this site will help you out... http://www.wrpa.com/ If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

NRA 10 meter range

Howdy, thanks for the replies, I'm looking for a range so I can do some shooting while under observation, as it'll be good to see what my shooting is like when I not in my basement.

Wish I could help you, but I don't know anyone, nor do I know anything about pistol shooting myself. Try contacting some of the phone numbers and go to a few of the pistol matches that are on the WRPA's website.

You might want to try the club at Lodi (http://www.wingunclub.org). They are by far the largest club in the area devoted to competition shooting. While NRA highpower rifle is the biggest draw there, they have wonderful facilities for smallbore and pistol as well. They also have a nice clubhouse with an area they use for air rifle training with very young junior shooters. Competition with air pistol will be hard to find, but at least you could train and perhaps develop an air pistol group in the area. Madison and its suburbs surely has a big enough population base to support airgun competition with both rifle and pistol, if folks only knew the sport existed.

Hi Tom, nice shooting the last weekend! Perhaps we will see you in Lodi for the state. :) Go DePere :)
