I bought some DVD's on tuning the S200 and the hw80,titan falcon and the HW97.
I have a FWB 300S but can't find a tuning dvd on it at all.
Just a field strip documentation which really does not show orientation of parts on re-assembly.
I bought a maccari sping and piston kit but hesitant to to do it.
are there any videos or anything available. Maybe I'll just try it anyway if I can't find anything.
thanks

Ok I made the Spring compressor and disassembled the 300S.
Removed the two springs and replaced with the single longer spring also replaced the seals.
The larger piston seal stuck out about 1/8 inch past the end of the piston.
First-it is a lot louder almost like a cap from a cap pistol.
before it was really quiet when I fired it in the basement, almost as quiet as the S200ta.
Second it is very fast-bEfore you could see the pellet in 1/2" pine board now you see the hole but can't see the pellet in the board but it didn't push through or bulge but it must be close.
The bad part is I must have tightened something to tight or did something wrong because the action does not slide back and forth .It seems to be stuck in the forward position.
any Idea what I did SOMETHING wrong. Any idea what I could have done wrong?
I like it better the other way and I might put the old springs back.

If you over lubed it, you might be having "dieseling." Which is the combustion of the excess lube. not good. If you did lube the cylinder and piston, try wiping some of the lube off.

There are 3 rods that the sledge slides on. If you degreased the rods, you need to lightly oil them. Also look at the schematic and the rifle for the sledge release. It might not be releasing.

No I know I didn't over grease -only moly at the bottom of the piston and very light also the sleeve.. I will try to find the schemati and see what you are talking about.

I know this sounds crazy and the gun works fine but it is much stiffer when cocking and much faster.
I have a Combro cb-625 coming any day now and I will see how fast the gun is. I might just get original springs and restore it to original specs.
I just bought the maccari spring kit in the yellow forum. IF it is up around 750 fps I will try to bring her back to normal specs.

I think the Maccari springs are for more power, not match accuracy.
