Due to problems with my right side and shoulder, I have switched to the left hand for pistol shooting for now. I do cardio three times a week at the "Y" and that helps my overall fitness, but my left grip and especially wrist are weak. The weak wrist really shows up in centerfire. What are the best exercises to do that isolate the left wrist and grip?

http://www.scribd.com/doc/6870916/The-V ... l-Shooting I used the supported arm training near the end of the article, and it really improved my wrist strength and locking. A lot of the training techniques in the article are not fully explained, but there are still gems to be found so give it a read.

One gallon jug with cord to 1" stick. Hold out at shoulder level and rotate the stick to raise the jug and then lower it, slowly, for 12 repititions. Start with 16oz. of water and work your way up to five or six pounds (80 or 96 oz.). Take your time to progress, adding a couple of ounces every week or so.
