Lead-free .22 ammo?

I would like to shoot my .22 target pistol in my 10 meter air pistol basement range, but concern for lead vapor ingestion has me concerned. Has anyone seen any standard velocity "green" ammo? Thanks.

it's not the bullet you need to worry about - it's the primer compounds. You'll want adequate ventilation and air flow even for non-lead bullets.

Is there any chance we may see non-toxic compounds in .22 target ammo?

In terms of primers - for my $0.02 very little to none. The popular press believe the problem is the bullet. for once the sport is abead of them.
As always the question is how much are you prepared to pay $20 a box of 50?

They do have non-lead priming compounds but as of yet they are only available usually in standard military and law enforcement calibers. The compound is more expensive and I guess that's where the market is.

Given the accuracy and reliability problems when the industry changed from mercuric compounds to lead compound primers, perhaps another change might solve the problem of too many shooters attaining 600 in Prone Rifle?
