Carbon fiber barrels

Anyone tried a carbon fiber barrel on a rimfire sporter.22 rifle for competitions? What were the results? Is it worth the cost? Thanks for any help.
Should not be an issue .... are you trying to keep the weight down?
I normally like to add weight on the barrel (up to the limit) to improve the hold in standing.
As a note .... if you are in 4-H this type of barrel is specifically prohibited
