N4JEE

My air pistol has been in storage for the last couple of years while we relocated to our retirement home in Florida. Yesterday I took it out to shoot. I loaded the air reservoir, screwed it on the gun and the air immediately leaked out the barrel.

I'm guessing that an O-ring has dried out and cracked.
Questions for the experts:
1. Does it sound like an O-ring problem?
2. If so, is that a user repair or do I need a professional?
3. If a user repair what parts do I need and where can I get them?
4. If I need a professional, who & where?

Thanks for the help,

I know this will sound silly, but - did you cock it before you screwed the tank on? Do not ask how any of us might know of this little secret!

4. If I need a professional, who & where?
http://www.pilkguns.com/ has some pretty skilled air-gunsmiths, if its one they sell, they are the professional you are looking for, if not, they probably STILL are the professional you are looking for.

there is or was also a place, jeez what was it called, center-X or something like that in FL

shoot good

I had forgotten your call from our last chat at the 3X's a couple of years ago. Got it now! :-)

I had put the brand and model in the subject, thinking it woudl be in the listing. Instead it put N4JEE.

It's a FAS AP609.

Yes, I cocked it first. Then thinking that maybe it was the other way around, it tried it without cocking. Leaks both ways.
