FORT BENNING, Ga. - U.S. athlete Matt Emmons earned the only Gold Medal for the USA in the Men's Prone Rifle competition during the final event at World Cup USA. He shot for a combined total of 701.8 with a finals score of 104.8 to bring Team USA's total medals to three.

Following in second was Christian Lusch of Germany who fired a
103.2 in the finals, scoring a 699.2 for the Silver Medal. Winning the first medal for his nation, Nemanja Mirosavljev of Serbia snatched the Bronze; shooting a 103.6 he earned an overall total of 698.6 to stand on the medals podium.

Team USA's Jason Turner shot for seventh place after becoming the top U.S. pistol finisher in the Men's Free Pistol match. His qualifying score of 561 slipped him into the finals in the eighth position. He kept firing his way higher and higher into the rankings, until he hit an 8.9 and 8.8 among his final shots.

China landed two athletes on the podium. Zhongzai Lin shot for Gold and Xinglong Shi captured the Bronze to help Team China become the top federation competing in the World Cup. The team earned a total of 11 medals, winning awards each day they were distributed. Switzerland's Christoph Schmid took the Silver Medal in Free Pistol.

China took the most medals in the World Cup with 11 followed by Germany with five. Russia and the USA each received three, and the Czech Republic got two; Poland, Switzerland, Belarus, Mongolia, Serbia and Ukraine all got one. To access competition results and photos, visit www.usashooting.org.

The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit hosted the International Shooting Sport Federation Rifle and Pistol World Cup USA April 2 to 7.
The ISSF World Cup USA was conducted at the USAMU ranges off Dixie Road by USA Shooting, the national governing body for Olympic shooting sports.
