Shooters,
I've been shooting Field Target for a few years and really enjoy the airgunning sports. Like a lot of people, I started 25+ years ago with a 760 Powermaster, then thought bb guns were for kids, and started shooting powderburners exclusively; only to find getting to the range kept me from shooting as much as I'd like. Next I shot archery for 10+ years for both hunting and 3-D competion, only to find shooting 30 shots in 7 hours was an excellent way to waste a Sunday. No thanks.
My local gunclub has a very nice air rifle range. As I progressed from trying to make a Airforce Talon into an FT rifle I found myself yearning for real quality air arms. Next purchase was an Izzy 46m that I adore. Not long after an Air Arms EV2 was mine. I had the bug. Next came a Tau 200Jr (for my boy, I suppose) and later on came a 1322 that is now very heavily modded. Since the 1322 takes many pumps, I bought the little guy a 2250 so all he has to do is cock, I load the pellet, and he shoots.
Getting back to the Tau-200jr. I've decided to make this my 10m rifle. I got new sites and added the Sr. weights to the front. It shoots Meisterkugelns very nicely.
I just received my rulebook from NRA and couldn't find answers to the following questions:
Can my orbit bone touch the diopter's eyecup at anytime during sighting or shooting?
Does the term "light filter" mean any mechanism to occlude my left eye (right handed shooter)? Are there any dimensional constraints like in ISSF rules? I've read back about 20 pages on this forum and found several helpful hints as to what I should use, but wanted to know what is allowed.
I appreciate this forum and look forward to your responses.
Regards,
MM
