ISSF to allow the 17 HM2 in 50m competition?
A friend in Norway tells me that the ISSF is due to allow the 17 HM2 in 50 m competition. Has anyone heard this rumour? Any truth to it?

I would actually bet a lot of money against that happening.mk wrote:A friend in Norway tells me that the ISSF is due to allow the 17 HM2 in 50 m competition. Has anyone heard this rumour? Any truth to it?
Why would they bother when the 22LR is so accurate, cheaper and slower.
Is your friend trying to sell you a gun chambered for that round?

I as going to post hear but Ill run a new thread on the ISSF;

David Levene,
No one is trying to sell anyone enything. Had a bad day before you posted this? I didn't know that an individual in Norway could sell guns to individuals in the US....
Wtf,
Thanks for the reply. It has been decades since I was involved in UIT shooting but with a little girl ready to start shooting, I'm looking at this sport again. I'll keep my little girl company though I am sure young blood would beat old every single time in the years to come.

I just figured there must be some reason why your friend would tell you something that was so unlikely. Anyway, my comment was rather tongue-in-cheek.mk wrote:No one is trying to sell anyone enything. Had a bad day before you posted this? How could we tell that you are in the US? Your profile doesn't give your location.
