I need to buy new earmuffs for pistol shooting and after some googling I found the following models:

RemingtonĀ® M31 Ear Muffs NNR 31 dB
Peltor H10A Professional Earmuff Hearing NNR 30 dB
AO Safety Professional Hearing Protector NNR 30 dB
Silencio Magnum Deluxe Earmuff NNR 29 dB

Also:

Peltor Bulls Eye III
Peltor Optime III
Peltor Optime III Hi-Viz

What model from the above would you choose? Any other model to consider?

Thanks a lot!

Ones that fit your head are comfortable, they're ear muffs.

Personally I use the Peltor H10A (the double cup ones). Cheap, and excellent reduction in noise. Works great, as long as you aren't shouldering a rifle or shotgun, in which case you can get interference with the stock.

Actually, I own and really like the Dillon HP1 Electronic hearing protector. They have separate volume controls for each ear for stereophonic sound. They collapese easily to fit into the gun box.

It's just nice to be able to hear what's going on around you, and makes hearing the range commands much easier.

My brother bought the peltor and liked them a lot. I bought the 2 part silicone custom fit plugs so I could wear a hat and glasses and keep a good seal. When and if i get muffs it would be peltors, nice low profile.
