"Ploop Tube"

I met someone who used to shoot in Olympic rifle competition. He shoots competitively now with a .22 and uses what he calls a "Ploop Tube" sight. Apparently, this extends the barrel and the front sight. He says it gets its name from the sound the rifle makes when fitted with this device. Instead of the usual "crack" from the .22, it goes "Ploop".

Does anyone know anything about this. More specifically, what is the correct name and where can I find out about it?

Thanks. I didn't ask him how he spelled it and misunderstood. Now, where can I find out more?
